Description
Suncrest was a brand of orange soda first produced by the Nugrape Company in 1938.
The biggest clue for dating this can comes from the text on the reverse of the logo:
"Bottled under authority of Moxie-Monarch-Nugrape Co., Doraville, GA, 30340"
The Moxie Company combined with the Nugrape Company in 1968 which facilitated the company name change. It is possible that this can was very recently deposited when it was collected by the archaeologists in the mid 1970s.
Interestingly the top of the can says "Please don't litter// Dispose of properly" which, clearly someone didn't abide by, given it was found on the ground...
