Canada Dry Strawberry Bottle Cap
Title
Canada Dry Strawberry Bottle Cap
Subject
Soft Drinks
Foodways
Description
A number of Canada Dry fruit soda flavors were introduced in 1970 with similar branding, such as Concord Grape, Sunripe Orange, Wild Cherry, and California Strawberry. Though it is unknown when this flavor was discontinued, CCU 315 was excavated in 1977 so it must be between those years. Two of the aformentioned flavors are known to have been discontinued around 1978-79. Interestingly, there are no pictures of glass bottles of this flavor online, only cans.
The Canada Dry Bottling Co. in Atlanta was located at 1910 Murphy Ave SW. (30310). As of the earliest Google Street View in 2007, this location became the Southeastern Atlantic Beverage Co. which also manufactured soft drinks, and it is unclear if this was a rebrand of the same company or an unrelated business.
