Description
TruAde was a brand of non-carbonated soft drinks that came in orange and grape flavors. The drink was developed by Lee C. Ward of Los Angeles in the late 1930s. The TruAde company moved to Chicago in the 40s. A 1948 advertisement in the Atlanta Journal called it "the newest drink for true refreshment" so it probably reached the Atlanta market in 1948. The bottle design seems to not have changed much until the brand fizzled out in the 60s, and the ACL print on our bottle is in bad shape, so there is unfortunately no way to more accurately date this specific bottle, or identify the bottler.
