Description
This military button was created by the D. Evans & Co., Attleboro Falls company around 1821-1848. Supposedly, these military buttons were distributed to marine officers. It is from the time period of the Civil War and was used by both Marines and Navy personnel. This could have potentially been a ranking system between the officers or just a symbol that they were military personnel.
