Description

“This is a decorated fork with ‘Luxor Plate Wallace’ inscribed on the underside of the handle and a decorated spoon… The fork is decorated with a detailed floral design, matching a patterning produced by Wallace in 1937 called ‘Hollywood.’ According to various antique silverware catalogs and antique markets online, both the pattern and maker’s mark of the silverware can be confirmed…The pieces are silver-plated, composed of a nickel alloy called ‘German Silver’ and were manufactured by Wallace Silversmith’s, Inc.” (Fall 2017 – Group 7)
