Glazed Coarse Earthenware
Title
Glazed Coarse Earthenware
Description
The Glazed Coarse Earthenware type is characterized by a porous paste, sometimes with inclusions, fired at approximately 900-1200° Celsius. The glaze can range in color, from clear to brown, and may even appear painted (see pictures 1 and 2) under the remains of a clear glaze. Specific glaze colors can break this classification down into further types, but for the purposes of showcasing the variation within this collection, they are grouped together.
