Description
Barq's bottles printed in red (rather than blue) are associated with Barq's of New Orleans. The "It's good" slogan first appeared on bottles in 1935.
Similar bottles with the diamond pattern were made from the 40s to the 70s.
This bottle did not necessarily contain root beer, either. All Barq's soda flavors used the same bottle with the flavor being indicated on the cap.
The bottom of the bottle usually has a date code, but in this case it is not immediately obvious, the three numbers are 13, 94 and 5 with a 9 in a circle. The 5 may be indicative of 1950 as that would make the most sense concerning a year.
