Royal Foot Wash

Title

Royal Foot Wash

Subject

Medicine
External Medicine

Description

The Royal Foot Wash, flagship product of Eaton Drug Co, claimed to soothe itchy, blistering, or peeling feet as well as act as an antiperspirant. Many different ads were run for the product in 1903 and 1904 Atlanta Journal newspapers. Samples were sold for a 2-cent stamp and a full bottle (presumably what we have here) was 25 cents. The last mention of Eaton Drug Co in these newspapers outside of those two years was in 1910 for pencils that were "always sharp," so it can be presumed that the product was short-lived.
