<text>From KolaWars: Atlanta by Dennis I. Smith
"After years of success in construction, lumber, coal mining, and drug businesses, Thomas H. Austin organized the Koca Nola Company in the spring of 1904. The syrup factory and bottling plant was located at 108 Edgewood Avenue.
The earliest ad appeared in the March 15th Atlanta Constitution classifieds with the drink name spelled 'Coca Nola.' The spelling was quickly changed to Koca Nola as the ads began the following claims:
'Koca Nola is the nicest, smoothest, softest, healthiest of all fountain drinks. Try it.'"
According to Mental Floss the brand disappeared entirely in 1918.</text>
