The diamond-shaped mark at the bottom of the bottle is actually a British-style registry mark, that would typically be used to indicate the month and year of manufacture, but in this case all Durkees bottles of this type have identical marks. &#13;
The Society for Historical Archeology dates this bottle variation to  around 1908-1929. </text>
