<text>T.P. Marshall was the president of the Baby Ease Drug Company from around 1902 until the 1930s. Assumedly, this bottle contained Baby Ease. It was a remedy to help babies with various digestive problems. To sell the product, Marshall often used scare tactics in the newspapers that "Babies are dying by the thousands" and a "free gold ring" promotion. By 1906, the company's advertisements and packaging said it was based in Atlanta rather than Macon.
According to the 1896 Macon City Directory, T.P. Marshall's drug store was located at the corner of Hawthorne St. and 2nd St. Today, this is a day care center.</text>
